Jaya Nicely is an illustrator and designer based in Los Angeles. She is the art director for Unnamed Press, a leading independent publisher of fiction and non-fiction.
Jaya Nicely graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Art Center College of Design in 2014. In addition to her role designing and art directing covers at Unnamed Press, she is also the co-creator and art director for Compound Butter magazine, a publication of art inspired by food, as well as the author of Offline Journal: An Illustrated Guide for a More Connected, Creative Life (2019).
Jaya has been commissioned by these major publications for her incredible illustration talent: The Hollywood Reporter, Vanity Fair, Bon Appétit, GQ, The Washington Post, Barron’s, Vulture, Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, Bloomberg, the Los Angeles Times, Politico, Forbes, The Ringer, and Variety.
