Jack Smyth is a talented book cover designer and illustrator based in Dublin, Ireland. In 2024, he was named Designer of the Year at The British Book Awards, an award group put on by The Bookseller which “affirms, connects and energises the world of reading by showcasing the authors and illustrators who have stirred our hearts and imaginations, and the industry behind the scenes who have brought them to readers.”
Jack has been freelancing since 2019. Before venturing out on his own, he held positions as an in-house designer at William Collins (4th Estate), Simon & Schuster UK, and Little, Brown Group. Jack is a graduate of Kingston University in London.
