Tyler Comrie, the creative force behind TYCO, is an accomplished Graphic Designer, Illustrator, and Art Director based in New York City. His multidisciplinary design office, TYCO, is renowned for its conceptual visual solutions that cater to a diverse array of clients, including brands, publishers, film, theaters, and other cultural institutions.
Before establishing TYCO, Comrie honed his skills and creativity at several prestigious companies such as Alfred A. Knopf, Farrar, Straus and Giroux, Sagmeister & Walsh, and Pentagram. This varied experience has enriched his design perspective, enabling him to create many best-selling book covers. Additionally, his illustration work is frequently featured in eminent publications like The New York Times, The New Yorker, and Wired, showcasing his versatility and reach in the design world.
His talent and dedication to his craft have been recognized by the Art Directors Club, where he was honored with the Young Guns 16 award, a testament to his prowess as a designer and illustrator.
Comrie earned his BFA from the School of Visual Arts in 2015 and has since come full circle, returning to his alma mater as a Graphic Design professor for undergraduates.
