Mark Ecob is one of the UK’s leading book cover designers and has packaged books for Iain Banks, Roald Dahl, Alexander McCall Smith, LEGO, Patrick Ness, and Ian Fleming, amongst many others in his 25-year career.
His work has been recognized by the D&AD, the Academy of British Cover Design and he was shortlisted for ‘Designer of the Year’ at The British Book Awards in 2023.
He works for conglomerates, independents, and self-publishers alike, with the cover always the priority. When he’s not designing books, he’s a mentor and a tutor. In 2026, he graduated with Distinction from the MA Graphic Communication Design programme at Central St Martin’s School of Art, London where he won a Re:Generating Creativity Graduate Award for his work on colonialism in education.
